In real life, there are no assignments. No grades. No transcript. No diploma. You’re not going to graduate, the journey is the point!
The Only Thing that Matters
The work. Do. The. Work. Find something so important that you can’t sleep. Something that speaks to you so deeply that you HAVE to wake up at 5am on a Saturday to do the work.
I’ll give you a hint: impact. Chase that. You matter. But even more than you, the people who need your contribution matter. Don’t hold out on them!
But the Hurdles…
I’m G- rated, but I think you know what I’m thinking: **** the hurdles. Get up. We all have hurdles. No, they’re not all the same size. But yours will write your story that your people need to hear.
The World Does Not Believe In You
But I do. And you should. There’s a lot of money in the business of telling you that you’re not good enough. Industries thrive around telling you you’re not attractive. Not smart. Not talented. Not the right gender. Not the right color. “Buy our product and you’ll be good enough.”
Know This:
You are talented. You have the potential to be the best in the world at something. You already are the best in somebody’s world at something. The problem is that you’re looking at the winners today. Not 15 years ago when they tried a thing for the first time and completely stunk at it.
